About Me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who received my doctorate from Xavier University. I work with individuals across the lifespan who may be experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. Together, we collaborate to find ways to navigate life’s challenges while pursuing your meaningful goals. In therapy, I primarily utilize an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework to help you develop strategies for managing distressing thoughts and emotions while cultivating values-driven action. I have a passion for not only addressing potential struggles within therapy, but also pursuing thriving, success, and aspirational goals. This commitment has informed my passion for sports and performance psychology, where I also utilize my background within psychology to help athletes pursue peak performance, promote mental-wellbeing, and progress towards their goals.
My professional journey has taken me through various roles, including extensive experience in college counseling centers. Through this work, I've gained insight into the multifaceted pressures and transitions that students encounter during their academic journeys. I'm passionate about supporting young adults as they navigate these pivotal years, providing them with the tools and strategies they need to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

What is a Growth Mindset?
The term growth mindset was developed and researched by American psychologist Carol Dweck. It refers to the belief that one’s own ability can be improved and developed over time. This contrasts the concept of a fixed mindset in which deficits in a skill domain may be perceived as insurmountable or innate. Dr. Dweck’s research in 2006 has demonstrated that individuals who possess or adopt a growth mindset may be more likely to embrace challenges, persist in the face of setbacks, and ultimately achieve greater success in various domains of life. Many believe this research illustrates the impact a person’s beliefs about themselves has on their achievements.
